A simple tester that test 10,14 and 18k gold. No dangerous acids or harmful chemicals. The GT-Express Mini Tester is a new instrument in the TRI Electronics, Inc. family or gold testers. The GT-Express usesthe same method for determining gold content as the GXL-18 and GXL-24 testers, and is packaged in a more compact configuration and only measures the most popular yellow gold karatages, i.e. 10K, 14K, and 18K. 

The GT-Express Mini Tester is an easy to use instrument, which does not require any special training for testing gold. For determining of gold plated object, it is recommended to make three or four testes at the same point with eraser cleaning before each test. A gold plated object will decrease in karatage with each test. On heavily plated pieces it may be necessary to file or pin prick the piece and test over the filed spot on the test piece.

Tri Electronics, Inc. will guarantee the workmanship and quality of the GT-Express Mini Tester for a period of one year from the date of purchase. The time period of one year applies only to the original purchaser of the instrument, and proof of purchase is required for the warranty to be effective. Batteries and accessories are excluded from the warranty. This warranty does not cover: Any product where and attempt to disassemble the instrument is established; modification; alteration; unauthorized repair or service of the product nor damages of defects resulting from accident or any events beyond the control of Tri electronics, Inc. In addition, the manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any error in determining the contents of gold and other precious metals through the use of GT-Express Mini Tester nor for using the device in testing non-gold alloys.
